The four chambers in Shelby County (Calera, Greater Shelby County, Montevallo and South Shelby) are co-hosted a Shelby County Business Outlook Conference on Friday, February 12.
The program, held in collaboration with the University of Montevallo’s Stephens School of Business, was sponsored and hosted by the Birmingham Marriott Hotel located at 3590 Grandview Parkway, Birmingham.
Registration for the Conference opened at 9:30AM with a panel presentation that began at 10:00AM. The panel featured five business leaders — that represented health care, real estate, retail, banking and small business — that shared their outlook on what 2016 looked like in their respective sectors. The panel presentation was moderated by Dr. Stephen Craft, Dean of the Stephens School of Business.
Over lunch, Dr. Craft provided an overview of Shelby County’s 2016 business outlook and shared the results of the Business Outlook Survey which the four chambers and the Stephens School of Business conducted. The survey featured feedback from business owners and top managers on what they think Shelby County’s economy will look like in 2016.
